Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation Review

A couple of weeks ago 1 of the malls in my city opened up a Sephora. We already had a Sephora, but it was one of the ones that's inside of a JCPenny. It had a large enough selection. It has MUFE, NARS, Urban Decay, Hello Kitty, Stila, Benefit, Tarte, Philosphy, etc. However, when it came to the MUFE & NARS sections it was very limited.
Finally, after a year we got an actual Sephora. Might I add, that I am really happy with the extensive nail polish selection, as if I need anymore, lol.

I went to the new Sephora on opening night and was happy to see the Laura Mercier section. I needed new foundation and had planned to buy my usual MUFE HD foundation in 160, but decided to give Laura Mercier a try.
I picked out Sunny Beige, did a swatch on my face and really liked how it looked. I was sold, I made my purchase and was excited to try it out.

The following day I applied my makeup as usual, this time using my new Laura Mercier Foundation. The coverage was amazing! I had some blemishes that week that this foundation completely covered up. My only problem with it though was that my skin felt weighed down. I think the foundation was too heavy for my skin. After about 5 minutes of having it on, my skin felt tight & sticky. I removed the foundation immediately, mind you, I didn't put a lot on either, I used about 2 pumps.
Even after using a light setting powder by MUFE my skin still felt tight & sticky. I went right back to my MUFE HD Foundation and returned the Laura Mercier Foundation and picked up another MUFE HD this time in 155.

I am not sure how the Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation feels on other women, but I have heard that it feels silky & very smooth. That is what made me want to try it in the first place. I loved the coverage I got from it as well, the coverage was amazing & yes, it did make my skin look smooth, but didn't feel that way at all.

I will probably try other products by Laura Mercier in the future, but for now, I am sticking to my all time favorite, MUFE.

Let me know in the comment section below if you have tried anything from Laura Mercier and tell me what you loved or hated from this brand.

How To Remove Glitter Nail Polish

We've all worn it & we've all had a hard time removing it from our nails. No matter what you use, cotton balls or squares, it's still a struggle and a mess. The cotton tears and you end up with glitter polish all over your fingers and it doesn't always come all off.
I will admit, I wish this idea was mine but it wasn't. I saw it on a youtube video and I was just so blown away by it when I tried it and it worked.

Materials needed:
Nail Polish remover
Cotton balls/squares
Foil

Steps:
1. If you're using cottons squares cut it in half.
2. Cut up some squares of foil. These will be wrapped around your finger. They will hold the cotton over your nail. The polish remover soaks through the glitter polish.
3. Grab your cotton and pour some polish remover on it.
4. Place cotton over nail.
5. Grab foil square and wrap it around your finger. Fold any excess over your finger.
6. Do this to all nails, leave on for about 2 minutes.
7. Unwrap foil and wipe the cotton off your nail.

Keep in mind, there might be some polish on the edge of your nail, near your cuticles. Just grab a clean cotton pour some polish remover and clean it up. It will be very fast and easy since it was soaking in polish remover for 2 minutes.

Below are 2 pictures.
The first picture is of my entire right hand, each finger soaking.
The second picture is showing the cotton with the glitter nail polish 99.9% off of my nail. You can see there is some glitter polish left over around the edges. I took a clean cotton with polish remover and cleaned it up with 1 swipe.

I know, it looks ridiculous. LOL

Glitter polish is virtually gone. 1 swipe with a clean cotton soaked with polish remover cleaned up the edges.

I hope you enjoyed this blog very much. If you have any questions at all, leave them in the comment section below.

I'm Back

I realize I have been on a hiatus for a few months. Reason being, my grandmother passed away back in November and I just didn't feel up to blogging or vlogging very much.
I haven't been doing much these past few months other than relaxing, spending time with my family and friends and doing some shopping. I haven't really bought any new makeup products either. I did buy a new bronzer by Nars and a new lipstick by MAC, but that's about it. I've been buying mostly LUSH products. I am obsessed with their products! They leave my skin unbelievably soft. Oh, I have bought several new nail polishes. I'll write a blog about all the new shades I've bought.

Well this was just an update blog. I'm going to start doing some review blogs on some products I have purchased from LUSH.

Much Love,
