Remember, even though certain collections may feature some permanent items such as the last lip kit I mentioned in this blog where every lip product is in the permanent line, it is the ball decoration it comes in and the white cap as opposed to the black cap that makes it Limited Edition. Keep in mind as well that they may be much smaller than the regular size. I really wish MAC wouldn't feature so many permanent products in Limited Edition packaging. It's honestly not worth the price hike.

MAC Cosmetics Collections for Winter 2011

I know I have been skipping some MAC collections & I am so sorry, but as I have said before, things have been so busy. I can't even remember the last collection I covered, i do know it was sometime before I left for vacation. So I figured what better time to get back into the swing of things then to cover the collections for my favorite time of year, Winter. 

There are several collections coming out for Winter, so far I count 6, yes 6 collection for winter, I know crazy, right?

MAC & Daphne Guinness

Guinness is an artist & is of Irish, English, & French descent, not to mention an heiress of the Guinness family. After divorcing Spyros Niarchos, son of the Greek shipping billionaire, Stavros Niarchos she walked away with a reported settlement of about £20 million. She has designed a range of clothing with Dover Street Market as well as releasing an eponymous gragrance in 2009 with Comme des Garcons. Guinness has collected fashion, specifically haute couture. Guinness is quite prominent in the fashion world as a journalist & collector.

MAC & Iris Apfel

Irish Apfel is an American businesswoman, former interior designer, and fashion icon. Iris studied ary history at New York University & attended art school at the University of Wisconsin. As a young woman Iris worked for Women's Wear Daily & for interior designer Elinor Johnson. She was also an assistant to illustrator Robert Goodman. In 1950 Irish & her husband launched the textile firm Old World Weavers and ran it until they retired in 1992. During this time, Iris took part in many design restoration projects, including work at the White House for nine presidents: Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton. To this day, Iris Apfel still consults as well as lectures about style & other fashion topics.

MAC Cosmetics Future Face

M∙A∙C forges ahead with a three-in-one force: Powder, Foundation and Tinted Moisturizer altogether. First, Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder blurs the line between skincare and makeup, with a pressed texture that beautifies as it benefits. Gives a sheer to medium, smooth, even coverage for a flawlessly soft and even tone with caring, comforting properties. Studio Fix Fluid and Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 shade extensions fill in all the gaps.

M.A.C Wonder Woman Collection Spring 2011

I am kind of excited about this line. I love Wonder Woman, but so far I'm not too crazy about the colors. I know for sure I will be getting 3 of the 4 pigments & maybe one of the eyeshadow palettes. Other than that, I don't know. For a sneak peak at the line, you can go to Temptalia.com.
