~Fresh Ice - White silver melange. Cool-toned, icy pink with a strong, white frost. When applied dry, it's powdery & semi-opaque and when applied damp, it's smoother & opaque. 

~Frozen Blue - Blue silver melange. Bluish-gray with frosted finish.

~Hold That Pose! - Pale mauve melange. Grayish mauve with a frosted finish, almost metallic when applied damp.

~Shimmermint - Pale green melange. Minty blue with silver sparkle, a cool-toned aqua blue with a touch of gray & very sparkly and frosty.

MAC Cosmetics Collections for Winter 2011

I know I have been skipping some MAC collections & I am so sorry, but as I have said before, things have been so busy. I can't even remember the last collection I covered, i do know it was sometime before I left for vacation. So I figured what better time to get back into the swing of things then to cover the collections for my favorite time of year, Winter. 

There are several collections coming out for Winter, so far I count 6, yes 6 collection for winter, I know crazy, right?

So who is Gareth Pugh you may ask, well he's an English Fashion Designer who currently lives & works in Paris. This man has an amazing resume! He started out at the age of 14, yes, 14 yrs old, as a costume designer for the English National Youth Theater.

Guinness is an artist & is of Irish, English, & French descent, not to mention an heiress of the Guinness family. After divorcing Spyros Niarchos, son of the Greek shipping billionaire, Stavros Niarchos she walked away with a reported settlement of about £20 million. She has designed a range of clothing with Dover Street Market as well as releasing an eponymous gragrance in 2009 with Comme des Garcons. Guinness has collected fashion, specifically haute couture. Guinness is quite prominent in the fashion world as a journalist & collector.

MAC & Iris Apfel

Irish Apfel is an American businesswoman, former interior designer, and fashion icon. Iris studied ary history at New York University & attended art school at the University of Wisconsin. As a young woman Iris worked for Women's Wear Daily & for interior designer Elinor Johnson. She was also an assistant to illustrator Robert Goodman. In 1950 Irish & her husband launched the textile firm Old World Weavers and ran it until they retired in 1992. During this time, Iris took part in many design restoration projects, including work at the White House for nine presidents: Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton. To this day, Iris Apfel still consults as well as lectures about style & other fashion topics.
